AlchemistNPC adds a few items that can only be obtained via Treasure Bags or mob/boss drops.
EoC — Eye of Cthulhu. WoF — Wall of Flesh. DG — Dungeon Guardian. ML — Moon Lord.

Alchemist Charm Tier 1 (Once on the first time, EoC)
Charm of Luck (Once on the first time, WoF)
PhD Degree Diploma (Always, WoF)

Otherworldly Amulet (10/20% chance, DG)
Celestial’s Particle (Multiple from DG)
Treasure Bags
You’ll get those items from any Treasure Bag with a certain chance, considering that you’ve met condtions for them to drop.

Charms
There are several bonus-granting items which are called Charms.

Alchemist Charms
While having one of those in your inventory, you’ll have the chance of not consuming a potion.
With Tiers 1/2/3/4 you have the 10/25/50/75 % to not consume potions respectively.
If you’ve defeated SCal you would not consume potions with Tier 4 Charm at all.
Will also give discounts for Alchemist, Brewer and Young Brewer depending on tier — 10/25/35/50 % discount with 1/2/3/4 tiers.
Obtaining
Tier 1 Charm always drops from Eye of Cthulhu on the first kill.
Tier 2 Charm can be crafted with tier 1 charm, 15 of any Crimson/Corruption bars and 20 Evil Component.
If for whatever reason you’ve lost/didn’t get it, you can obtain one from Alchemist if EoC has been defeated — go to his interface and press ‘Get Charm’.
You can obtain infinitely many charms that way, although, having no selling price, you wouldn’t be able to profit from that.
Tier 3 Charm can be crafted with tier 2 charm, 15 of Adamantite or Titanium Bars, and 20 of any Hardmode component (Ichor/Cursed Flame).
Tier 4 Charm can be crafted with tier 3 charm, 10 Luminite Bars and 5 of each pillar fragment. Those being Stardust, Solar, Nebula, and Vortex Fragments.
Luck Charms
While having Charm of Luck in your inventory you would have the better chance of obtaining good prefix on weapons when reforging.
With Charm of Absolute Luck (upgraded version) not only you would have an even better chance of obtaining good prefixes on weapons, it would also work on accessories (Menacing->Lucky->Warding).
Obtaining
Charm of Luck always drops from Wall of Flesh on the first kill.
Charm of Absolute Luck can be crafted with the Charm of Luck, 10 Shroomite Bars, and 10 of each mechanical boss’ soul. Those being Soul of Might, Fright, and Sight.
WoF loot works differently than EoC’s one, so there’s no reason for having the other way of obtaining the Luck Charm.

Torn Notes
Torn Notes are a collection of items dropped from bosses that give hints and information about the mod’s different features and items. They are dropped by bosses, in the following order:

Combining Notes
You can combine notes, in order to progress through them, obtaining Secret Notes in the process. Every 3 successive Notes can be combined into an Secret Note.
So, Notes from 1 to 3 could be combined into Secret Note 1 and so on.
You can also combine 3 Secret Notes into a Notes Book.

Alchemist
The Alchemist is a new class added in the Orchid Mod. The Alchemist class’ weapons, armor, and accessories attack by mixing different elements to add effects onto a base attack, which can cause reactions that are activated with catalysts. The class inflicts chemical damage.
The class is developed within the bounds of a vanilla pre-hardmode Terraria playthrough, with content available throughout pre-hardmode. This includes 2 armor sets, 5 accessories, 2 buffs, 26 weapon and 4 catalysts.

Mixing [ edit | edit source ]
The Alchemist mixes different elements to attack. There are 6 elements: Fire, Water, Nature, Air, Light, and Dark. Each weapon adds to the attack’s effect. You cannot mix two of the same element.
Chemical Damage [ edit | edit source ]
The Alchemist’s weapons hit with a specific damage type called chemical damage. Accessories and armor can be used to augment chemical damage output, and generic ‘damage’ buffs still increase the Alchemist’s damage.
Hidden Reactions [ edit | edit source ]
Hidden reactions are special reactions that can be triggered and have a cooldown. Hidden reactions each have a special effect and can only be triggered with certain mixtures.
Catalytic Reactions [ edit | edit source ]
Specific weapons or combinations can create catalytic elements that, when popped with a catalyst, activate special effects. The catalyst used can have various use styles, and trigger its own effects when used successfully.

The Psychotic Amulet is a Hardmode accessory that is rarely dropped by Possessed Armors. It benefits both the Rogue and Ranged classes, increasing the damage and critical strike chance of Rogue and Ranged attacks by 5%. Standing still with this accessory equipped will quickly turn the player invisible as if they were wearing Shroomite armor and give them much stronger boosts to rogue and ranged stats. These bonuses rapidly wear off if the player moves again.
Once completely invisible, the player’s total bonuses include the following:
- +25% rogue damage
- +65% ranged damage
- +15% ranged and rogue critical strike chance
- +50% ranged and rogue knockback
- -750 Aggro
The ranged bonuses offered by this stealth do not stack with Shroomite armor, and having this accessory equipped will prevent the player from activating the set bonus of the Vortex armor.
The Psychotic Amulet is used later in crafting the Auric Tesla armor, which is a post-Moon Lord armor set.
